FAQ

What is the difference between a fake sword and a real sword?
Imitation swords are blades made from a metal alloy that is soft, and therefore non-sharpenable. These swords are used for ornamental purposes and also in martial arts training. These swords do not require permits or registration to own or carry.
On the other hand, real swords are cultural artifacts made from carbon steel using traditional Japanese techniques and materials. The blade is sharp and is considered a weapon, and therefore it requires a Firearms and Swords Registration Certificate to be carried together with the sword at all times.

” Later, you will need to visit the police station to submit the report, at which point you will receive a “Sword Discovery Report Receipt Certificate.”
